ONCE YOU ARRIVE

The arrival at Heriot-Watt University told by Stella :
The university notified us with information on the days of the week on which our new accommodation was available and we could collect administrative documents. We were told these documents had to be filled in during the “Freshers Week”. They also gave us a time when we could pick up our keys at the “Welcome Point” in front of our hall. We had to come on Saturday September 2nd between 2pm and 5pm. We could also get our keys at the “Main Reception” if we couldn’t come during the given time slot.

When we collected our keys we were given some documents concerning health issues.

To obtain your keys, we needed to show an Identity card (Passport, European Identity Card or a Driving Licence) together with the “Offer of Accommodation” paper.

We suppose that most of you will take the plane to go to Edinburgh. Heriot-Watt University puts at its students disposal “Shuttle buses” which take them to the campus and they are free of charge :). They go between 9am and 9pm. To take them, you only have to go to the “Scottish University Welcome Desk” after picking up your luggage and ask one of the people there. They wear red T-shirts with “Welcome” written on them. We had to tell them where we were heading to (i.e Heriot-Watt University). Don’t be shy, they will be delighted to help you!
